Delete Account & Data
You can delete your Hearth account and synced data at any time, directly from the app.
Option 1: Delete in-app (recommended)
- Open the Hearth app and make sure you're signed in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete Account & Data.
- Confirm when prompted. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Your account is deleted immediately, and your synced data is removed from our servers shortly after.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you can't access the app (for example, you've lost your device), you can request account and data deletion by emailing us at support@withlove-apps.com from the email address associated with your Hearth account. Please include the subject line "Delete my Hearth account." We'll verify your request and confirm once it's complete, typically within a few business days.
What gets deleted
Deleted from our cloud
- Your account (email/name, authentication record)
- Synced recipes and meal plans
- Recipe photos stored in cloud storage (Plus subscribers)
- Household sharing membership and invites tied to your account
- Subscription/purchase records held by our subscription provider, RevenueCat
Cleared when you uninstall the app
- Recipes, meal plans, and photos stored locally on your device
- Local notification reminders
- Cached data and app preferences
Note: deleting your account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. To stop future billing, cancel your subscription from the Google Play Store app (Menu → Subscriptions) as well.
