Delete Account & Data

You can delete your Hearth account and synced data at any time, directly from the app.

Option 1: Delete in-app (recommended)

  1. Open the Hearth app and make sure you're signed in.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Account.
  4. Tap Delete Account & Data.
  5. Confirm when prompted. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Your account is deleted immediately, and your synced data is removed from our servers shortly after.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you can't access the app (for example, you've lost your device), you can request account and data deletion by emailing us at support@withlove-apps.com from the email address associated with your Hearth account. Please include the subject line "Delete my Hearth account." We'll verify your request and confirm once it's complete, typically within a few business days.

What gets deleted

Deleted from our cloud

  • Your account (email/name, authentication record)
  • Synced recipes and meal plans
  • Recipe photos stored in cloud storage (Plus subscribers)
  • Household sharing membership and invites tied to your account
  • Subscription/purchase records held by our subscription provider, RevenueCat

Cleared when you uninstall the app

  • Recipes, meal plans, and photos stored locally on your device
  • Local notification reminders
  • Cached data and app preferences

Note: deleting your account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. To stop future billing, cancel your subscription from the Google Play Store app (Menu → Subscriptions) as well.
